The Secret Garden

This is a canvas that I finished today. I approached this one quite differently as I painted the background black first then built up the colour.
It was basically and idea that I had in my head and just doodled away on the canvas.

My darling, you can see the differnce in your pieces now to when you first started. I can see a maturity and strength in them that wasn't there before. You are trying new things and not content with finding something that works and re-working it ~ you are on a journey my tiny one and I can see your life and feelings slowly being let out and explored. This is very theraputic and healing! xxx

Good morning! I LOVE THIS!! The colors, the flowers, the profile view - all so unique and expressive! Have you ever tried black Gesso? I haven't, but I wonder if that could give you a good base as I love the black underground. Thank you for your kind comments - I posted my new journal page becasue of your encouragement, so thank you! Kristin :)
