'Riley thought that if he modified his bike he might finally be able to fly. It never quite worked of course but he had lots of fun trying.'
This was inspired by my nearly 3 year old Riley. He's a right little 'Mr Fix it' and loves to play with his tools and 'works' on his little bike for hours. I can picture the plans that might pop into his head as to what he might be able to do to improve it.

such a cute illustration and how sweet your little riley must be to watch while he's fixing things. as a child, my younger brother would dismantle cars etc. that he was given 'to see what they looked like on the inside'. lol

I REALLY like the mixed media piece you recently did too - very nice textures and the palette works with the image so well! I'm happy you found those fun paints too - I have yet to discover them myself, but isn't it fun when you get inspired by different things?
