Just a quick one this week as i didn't want to run out of time.
Little Benjamin got more than he bargained for when he hopped on top of this giant balloon. Hope he's not adrift for too much longer as it's looking cold out there!!!
I painted this in acrylic paint, used some crackle medium on the sky as well as pen and my inkense pencils to make him pop out more.

Oh, so fun! I love the colors and the expression on his face! I'd be surprised and slightly horrified as well if I found myself adrift on a balloon... I'm going to have to try using crackle medium! Thanks for your visit!! Hugs, Silke
Benjamin sure looks like he's in trouble. :) Great piece.

Nicola! I'm so belated, but wanted to just say, Happy Bloggiversary!! Wonderful that I've "met" you..you have been a gem of a friend. I wanted to say that your newest painting of the Lady of India is just beautiful. I think you've captured a lot of the feel of their culture in her thoughtful pose/expression. I know this will make a lovely pendant too. And how exciting about the sale of your Geisha painting..I told ya! : ) I have one of your lovely pendants and it doesn't surprise me. I am always so happy when you pop by - you are always so kind to me. Thank you! I shall be back in touch now and again...gotta keep plugging away. And by the way, this illo is so fun! I hope he gets back to earth soon and safely, and your recent jewelry pieces (the bracelet) are wonderful. All the best to you in 2010..keep on bloggin! : )
Oh Nicola! This is wonderful!!! I love your little Benjamin and his background and balloon are so creative and fun - just perfect! Your new header is beautiful too! Kristin xo
Nicola, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one! :) And you would be proud of me...I completed my Sunday Sketch! :D hee
Hi again! I just wanted to thank you for such a sweet message! And guess what? I admire YOU for being one of the most productive mom's that I know! I often wonder how you do it all - which is one of the reasons why I (up to now) have only joined one site - I knew that I may not be able to keep up with more, but I am so grateful for my blog as it is the reason for doing anything at all . . . Happy week and continued success, Kristin xo
