My first attempt at ATC's or ACEO's (not really sure which)

Hi I have been inspired by Darla's work to have a go at doing my own ATC's or ACEO's. Now Darla did explain it to me but I can't remember which way round it goes. Either way, ATC's or ACEO's are basically small sized works that you either sell or swap with other artists. They are the size of a playing card. It was really interesting to work on a different scale as it made me approach things a lot differently. Anyway here are my first 3 attempts, which were basically some doodles......

You did great! ATC's are a little too small for me, I have trouble doing fine details. But you had no problems with it. :)

These are great Nicola!!! ATCs are Art Trading Cards and people 'trade' them. ACEO are the same thing basically but people sell them. Stands for Artist Cards Editions and Originals.
I hope you do more, they're great!!! They're also so fun to collect! I've got some from the UK, France, Montana and California so far. Oh, and one just went to NY yesterday (we traded on Etsy)so I'll have one from there too. There was a cat one on Ebay last week that sold for $610!!! I think it started out at $12 :) I bet that artist is doing one huge happy dance! LOL

Wow!!! That's amazing, I think I'll definitly do more, I like working in the smaller scale as you can work faster too, how exciting, thanks for explaining it to me again!!! :0)

I like working on ATC/ACEOs because they're fun and quick to do....though the down-side is the finer details. The correct ATC/ACEO card size is 2½"3½" and, while most playing cards are this size, I have come across ones that aren't. Your cards turned out great! I especially like the dragonfly ~ :)

Hi Nicola! Thanks for coming to visit! I really appreciate your sweet comment! My inspiration comes from all over. Sending you Big Creative *V*I*B*E*S*!!! Your art cards are fabulous! I enjoy working on a smaller scale sometimes. I've been making ACEO's for awhile now and they are always so much fun to create. Have fun making more! They're addictive to make and buy! Continue reaching for the stars!

Hugs,
Lisa :)
