Paint Party Friday - ACEO's

Hi Guys I have been working this week painting those sketches I showed for Sunday Sketches, I was also inspired by my chicken photos and couldn't resist creating this little character :0)

I bought some new gouche paint and these little cards last week. I've discovered this great new brand called "Mont Marte" it is so well priced which means I can try all sorts of new things as it's very affordable, I really like the brightness of the gouche and I don't seem to use too much like i do with acrylic.
This piece was originally inspired by a Matisse sketch, I just had to add colour!

Finally I added some black pen to my alien lady!!!

These ACEO's are rather addictive I'm thinking of putting them in my shop. I hope you've all had a great week.

I'm seeing lots of fun going on in your work this week!!

The Matisse one is my fave artistically... but for pure enjoyment it has to be the cheeky chicken!! I think you need to do a whole series of these feathered friends. They'd look great all lined up together.

Great ACEO's! I keep intending to make some and then totally forget about it until I see someone else doing them. I must do it! Good luck with sales!:)xx

I had to come and see your chicken. He's fabulous! He has such personality. I'd like to try some tube gouche but I've never found any locally. I did ATCs this week, too!

oh yeah - that chicken rocks. I've never painted with gouche - maybe someday! Whenever I hear someone talk about their materials it makes me want to try it out. I have to resist the urge to buy every art material under the sun on impulse :)
