My butterfly commission finally finished! :0) Paint Party Friday :0)

Here is my butterfly commission all finished. I think they look so pretty all lined up together. I'm really happy with how it turned out as it's my first commissioned piece where I have used oils. The green butterfly (colour requested from client) was a bit of a challenge as I wanted to make sure the butterfly stood out, so I added more blossoms in the background. I reached a point where I wasn't sure if it was finished or not but didn't really think I should add anymore. I think I had just stared at it for far too long. Do you ever feel like that?

These are lovely! I know exactly what you mean - when doing oils it is easy to spend too much time going over and over. I've found that taking a photo at the end of each session helps to see it with fresh eyes and I can spot things in the photo (like if the angle of something is wrong) that I couldn't see from staring at the picture itself. You don't need to worry about these however as they are beautiful and clearly perfectly finished!
