Hi guys,
Well my blogging is becoming increasingly sporadic and I do apologise for that. Life seems to be getting in the way of my art which can be very frustrating sometimes but also can't be helped.
We had an interesting week which began with my littlest hurting himself on the trampoline and my husband and I spending our 12th wedding anniversary in the hospital emergency department. Luckily it was a nasty sprain not a break but the poor little guy has been hobbling around all week, and still isn't right.
I've been working on some lesson plans for next term as I shall be starting my artist in residence position, I'm so looking forward to that. The school holidays are about to start so I hope to put some of these plans into place and try them out on my own boys first so that I can see what works and what doesn't. I'm nervous but so excited about this new direction my art is taking me, i shall keep you posted on how it all goes.
In the meantime I managed to work on my large canvas which I showed you last post as well as a couple of portraits of my beautiful nieces as well as a quick sketch I did in front of the tele this afternoon.
I hope you all had a great Easter and look forward to seeing what you've all been up to!!! :0)

Love the water lily and the girl in purple.
Beautiful paintings! It sounds like you're quite busy getting ready for your artist in residence position. I hope you share what you "practice" with your boys. Happy PPF!

The water lily is looking amazing and hope your son is getting better.... our daughter broke her foot in a couple of places on a trampoline and it is so easily done isn't it... so awful when they are hurt, but you are still managing to get some lovely work done...xx

Beautiful paintings of your nieces, they will love them. The water lilies and the sketch are fabulous too.
Glad to hear your trampoliner only has a sprain. We have been lucky with ours, I was the only one who ever got hurt.
so sad about your son, hope he mends quickly, beautiful work, as always, you do what you do so well, love the vibrant colors, best of luck with your artist in resident work.
Hi Nicola, sorry to hear about your son! I hope his leg heals fast! Hopefully he'll be more careful! Your paintings are beautiful, I especially like the girl with red hair! She has a wistful expression and reminds me of a daughter of a friend of mine! Patsy from

Oh1 I hate to see anyone suffer, especially a young child! What does an artist in residency entail? My daughter got her masters in elementary art education and is having a hard time finding a job since the recession and many school letting art and music go by the wayside.
Lovely art!
Makes me want to paint portraits of my niece and newphew!

Happy PPF!!
