Sunday Sketches :0)

Well I feel like I'm really getting back to my artistic roots lately. I'm loving using the pencils coloured and normal lead pencils. I painted for so long it's been really good to concentrate on perfecting my drawing skills. Don't get me wrong I will get back to painting again but I felt the need for a bit of a change.

Here is what I've been working on this week :0)

 Trying out a bit of mixed media with this piece coloured pencils and ink.
 I try to do a quick sketch most days :0)

 Another coloured pencil and ink piece :0)
 Experimenting with blending sticks and pencil.
 I'm so pleased with this last piece it's quite different to what I normally do and I really enjoyed working on the face.

    Fantastic stuff! It's great to use different mediums for a change isn't it? I go through phases of using brush pens and gel pens for a while and then when I go back to paint, I find I've changed a little in the way I draw. I love watercolours the best but I think I feel a coloured pencil phase coming on... ;)
